Got a smell in the kitchen? Food waste finding its way to the rubbish bin? If this is happening to you or your organisation, then precious resources are ending up in the landfill where they produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
The solution is easy. And that’s to compost. With composting you’ll turn unwanted food waste back into nutritious material to feed the garden!
In this interactive workshop you will
- learn about two different methods to collect and compost your food waste
- identify the steps needed to implement a food composting system to an organisation (or household)
- brainstorm ways in which you can do this for your organisation.
- receive an educational handout
The two methods I focus on are Bokashi Composting and Vermi-composting which can both be done wholly or partly indoors.
This workshop is ideal for staff members of workplaces and organisations, as well as householders in the community.
Workshop Duration: Typically two hours
